Fall

Kids
The boys are doing well at the new daycare center. We love that it's so close to home, meals/snacks are provided and the cost is low. We only wish there were more pre-school age kids, but that might be a tall order considering kindergarten is only 11 months away. Cal is still into Wild Kratts, animals and doing things outside. I've introduced them both to Geocaching recently and we've been spending our spare time doing that.
We're touring our second elementary school soon, hoping to stay ahead of the game and tour schools before the dead of winter. Cal is really looking foward to trick or treating, this year he is going to be a tiger and Carlow is going to be frankenstein.

Around The House
Not in the middle of any big projects at the moment. The weather has been such that we don't need to run the a/c or the heat, gotta love fall! We had all the Halloween decorations up right away on October 1st. We might start looking for a twin bed/headboard for Calvin soon. Once we find something, Carlow will get Cal's bed and finally move out the crib. Everything is going well so it's we're not in a rush to change things up.

Hobbies
I played hockey last Saturday night for the first time since last winter, felt good. A bit rusty of course but I didn't feel too out of shape.
Geocaching is the big thing at the moment, the weather is perfect for tramping around the woods in search of the next "treasure." We're planning another outing for tomorrow afternoon!

At work we're looking to hire in my department to replace the lady that is retiring at the end of the year.

Better Late Than Never

Kids
Calvin will be turning four on May 29th (Memorial Day). He’s really a little dude now. Lately, one of the things we’ve been into spotting and identifying birds in the neighborhood and in our backyard. I bought a few feeders, some seed and a decent pair of binoculars. He’s also really into taking “creature walks” to see what kinds of animals we run into. I’ve glad he enjoys being outside, there is always something fun to do.

Carlow is talking quite a bit more now (Dada, Mama, Yeah, No, Down, Up etc.). He and Calvin don’t seem to get in each others way as much lately and Carlow can play forever in the dirt, just like his big brother. It will be fun to see how much he enjoys Berg’s Resort this year when we make our annual trip in June.

Around The House
Got the bikes ready last weekend and took they boys for a short ride in the bike trailer. Haven’t had to mow the lawn just yet as the weather is up and down. Looking forward to picking up a new charcoal-style grill soon and cooking outside. We’re planning to a garage sale at some point this summer, we’ve got a basement full of baby/toddler toys and clothes that need to find a new home.

Hobbies
I’ve been out Metal Detecting a handful of times so far, found not one but two $1 coins. Also found a silver ring but it had a junk setting, still, finding jewelry is always exciting. Finally finished Professor Layton’s Diabolical Box on my 3DS, getting back into games a bit now that both boys are sleeping through the night (for now). Hoping to get out and do some fishing soon with Steve, but it’s really up to him since he’s the one with the boat.

Had a great time with the family doing an “Escape Room” in St. Paul a few days ago. You’re put in a room for 60 minutes and given clues to try to solve in order to get a treasure and “escape” the room before time runs out. Cool part was, we actually did it and with 8 minutes to spare!
